Meet the Editors

Janette Schafer
is the Artistic Director of The Beautiful Cadaver Project Pittsburgh, which is committed to producing experimental and socially conscious theatrical productions and anthology publications in collaborative settings.  She is freelance writer, nature photographer, classically trained singer, and full-time banker living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Recent publications of her writing and photographs include: New Ink; Armarolla; PublicSource; Eunoia Review; Rigorous Journal. Her play, Mad Virginia, was selected for the Pittsburgh Original Short Play Series in July 2018. Her book, Something Here Will Grow, is forthcoming from Main Street Rag in 2020. Janette began her MFA studies in Creative Writing at Chatham University in Fall 2018.

Cedric Rudolph
 is head editor for the Re-Casting Masculinity ​project. He teaches middle-school writers at the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts school (CAPA). He is a contributing editor for The Fruit Tree, a LGBT+  journal of prose and poetry. He is also a founding editor for Beautiful Cadaver, which publishes social justice-themed anthologies and stages theatrical performances. In May 2018, he received his Poetry MFA from Chatham University. His poems are published in Christianity and Literature Journal, The Ekphrastic Review, and The Laurel Review.

RK Taylor
  • reads submissions from a quaint second story apartment in Pittsburgh, PA. He holds degrees in philosophy, psychology, and creative writing—each of which informs his daily life. Some of his work can be found in Flash Fiction Online, Quail Bell, and BLUE EARTH REVIEW. His debut short story, published by Scribble in 2018, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and PEN/Dau Award. Upon graduating from Chatham University in 2019, he received the Creative Excellence Award and the Katherine Ayres Award. In his professional life, Taylor has served children with autism, the homeless population, and inmates at the Allegheny County Jail. Currently, as a community-based social services worker, he aids young adults who, as teenagers, were removed from their homes. To learn more, visit http://www.writerRKTaylor.com

is a professor of English, thereminist, and podcaster.  His writing has appeared in Mister Rogers and Philosophy, Future Humans in Fiction and Film, Passions: Specialists and Careers, Winedrunk Sidewalk, and The Ekphrastic Review.  He lives in Pittsburgh.
